Sharing Hope. Celebrating Victories.
At The City Mission, we love to celebrate! And you’re invited to do that with us through our community events throughout the year. We cherish these opportunities to connect with the community (YOU!) and share our vision for providing Help, Heart, and Home to those who need it most.
The Christmas Fair is our way of sharing the hope of the season with our residents at Laura’s Home! We’ll have crafts, a Christmas movie, and fun festivities and invite you to be a part of it!
Running with a Mission
It was an amazing event on Saturday, September 10 at Edgewater Park with over 500 participants who ran, walked and supported our race against homelessness. It was family fun for every age with a kids dash, 5k run and 1 mile walk! Thanks to so many supporters, racers and sponsors we raised over $167,000!
Back to School Bash
Every single child we serve at Laura’s Home ages Kindergarten to 12th grade received their own backpacks, school supplies, and each mother was given $100 in gift cards to purchase back to school clothes.
An incredible event held just for our Laura’s Home families on Friday, August 12 at Calvary Hill Missionary Baptist Church, our annual Back to School Bash included dinner, a carnival, DJ music, face painting, balloon animals and lots of treats.
Every contribution makes an impact
