What is Running with a Mission?
Running with a Mission is a 5k, 1 mile walk and kids dash hosted at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo by The City Mission and the Sherwin-Williams Women’s Club on June 16th. Funds raised benefit the women and children of Laura’s Home Women’s Crisis Center.

Why am I raising money while training for Running with a Mission?
As most of you know, I started as a Volunteer at The City Mission, and have now worked here over 7 years! At this place, lives are literally changed for eternity! I have been a runner most of my life, but arthritis has knocked me out of the game.
However, I will be training with some of the women at Laura’s Home to walk the course this year! It won’t be a stroll – we’ll be doing it for time, we just won’t be pounding on those knees! I know from past experience that the women who choose to train and participate in this event will learn so much about themselves, and what they’re capable of! They will proudly have their children there, cheering for them as they cross that finish line, and KNOW they did the hard work to make it happen! I’m proud to raise funds for Laura’s Home and enjoy the event at the same time! Thanks for considering a donation!
