Checking in with Ray & Regina

Happy New Year! 2018 is off to a very busy start, but as we dive into a new year of ministry, we want to share an update on two of the people who stayed with us last year.

  • Regina – Regina found tremendous peace by learning to surrender to the Lord. Over the course of the last year, she worked alongside volunteers to renovate a house in Cleveland, and thanks to the Mission’s New Horizons Housing Program, she now has a home of her own. Today, she has a steady job and a safe place to raise her sons, and her family is thriving. Regina can move forward with hope because she has the tools she needs to live a self-sufficient life.
  • Ray – Ray was born in the back of a pick-up truck and never received a birth certificate or Social Security card. Without these documents, he had a hard time finding work and housing, so he came to stay at the Mission. Since he moved in, Ray has secured the correct documentation AND a job, and he’s found an apartment of his own. He’s involved in a local church, and he’s using the skills he learned here to build a better future.

These stories – and hundreds more like them – would not be possible without the support of our partners. Will you give today and help us care for more people like Regina and Ray? Because of your compassion, hurting men, women, and children will find new life at the Mission this year.
