Major Gift Officer
Cleveland native Michael Parry joined The City Mission’s staff in 2010 as the Chief Development Officer, transitioning to Major Gift Officer in September 2018. As a certified fund raising executive (CFRE), Michael has 22 years of nonprofit fundraising experience with both well-known national charities and small local organizations. Michael’s is integral to raising the Mission’s $6+ million operating budget, all of which results from private donations (The City Mission does not accept government funding). He also manages the planned giving program and The City Mission’s Endowment Foundation, a separate organization committed to providing operating support for the Mission in perpetuity. A graduate of the Baldwin Wallace College Conservatory of Music, Michael’s artistic pursuits include serving as a vocal soloist in area churches and past membership in the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus. He's also active in the Christian Motorcyclist Association and serves as the Cleveland area chaplain.
