Mark Charvat, Chief Financial Officer
Mark began his service with The City Mission in 2003, and soon after became the Mission’s Chief Financial Officer in 2004. He continues in the role of CFO for The City Mission and all its affiliated organizations – MRA, New Horizons and The City Mission Support Foundation today. Prior to being called into rescue ministry, Mark worked in the private sector for 15 years. He has a broad range of finance and operations experience in small to medium sized businesses, publicly traded companies and airport/city government. Mark feels he's been gifted in strategic planning and creatively marshaling organizational resources to make visions a reality.
At The City Mission, Mark is most passionate about seeing lives transformed - whether that’s through one night of shelter and the provision of basic needs, or through the long-term care, Christian teaching, and crisis recovery resources offered through the Mission’s program. Aside from his involvement in direct rescue work, Mark is also the CFO for Mission Resource Alliance, a direct messaging firm that works with Gospel rescue missions across the country.
