Margarets’s Comeback Story - The City Mission of Cleveland, Ohio

Margaret’s Comeback Story

Before The City Mission, Margaret had No Place to Call Home

Turned out of her house with her children and grandchildren, Margaret prayed,

“Please, I’ll sleep on the floor.  I just need someplace to go because I refuse to be out on the streets with these kids.”

God answered Margaret’s prayer and brought her family to Laura’s Home.  “He didn’t want me on the streets. He wanted me to be someplace safe and stable with my children.”

Because of The City Mission, Margaret is Home for the Holidays

At Laura’s Home, Margaret entered our long-term program. “It’s life-changing,” she shares. “You can’t help but soak up the skills that they pour into you.” Thanks to your support, Margaret graduated from the program, got a job, and moved into a place of her own.  Looking ahead, she would like to become a nurse.

“I want to be able to encourage people. I don’t think I’ve ever looked forward to Christmas as much as I do now!” Margaret says with a smile.
