Change Lives For Generations to Come

The City Mission Endowment Foundation was established in 1974 to provide ongoing income for The City Mission's programming, so that the work of reaching hearts and changing lives can continue far past our lifetime.

Should I contribute to the Endowment Foundation?

The Endowment Foundation receives gifts of all sizes from those who believe that smart stewardship comes through setting aside a portion of their resources today to meet unknown needs in the future.

The City Mission does not accept government funding, and with an operating budget of over $6 million, we rely wholly on the generosity of individuals, companies, churches, foundations and other groups to meet the needs of our guests. Choosing to include the Endowment Foundation in your financial planning is a personal, meaningful decision, and we'd be glad to meet with you to determine if this is the right option for your lifestyle.

How can I give to the Endowment Foundation?

Some choose to include the Foundation in their will (planned giving) through bequests, a life insurance beneficiary or other options. If you want to include The City Mission's Endowment Foundation in your final wishes, please visit our Planned Giving page.

You can also establish a charitable gift annuity through the Endowment Foundation, which will provide predictable, guaranteed income for life. Charitable gift annuities transfer cash or property to the charity in exchange for a partial tax deduction and a lifetime stream of annual income from the charity - leaving The City Mission a gift at end of life.

Others choose to simply donate cash, appreciated stocks and bonds, and even real estate holdings. These are just a few examples of how you can sustain The City Mission and the programs closest to your heart.
