Hope Totes are a collection of personal care items used to create hygiene kits for infants, children, and adults and are distributed to the homeless and those in need throughout the year. It’s a great way to visibly show we care. Individuals and groups can run a Hope Tote drive at any time of the year, and participation is easy!
Ways to Participate
Fill a Hope Tote Yourself, or Host a Hope Tote Drive!
Step 1: View and request supplies and promotional materials.
Items to Collect
- Baby items: disposable diapers, baby wipes, lotion, shampoo, wash, oil, powder, etc.
- Toothpaste and toothbrush
- Mouthwash (alcohol-free)
- Body wash (better for keeping our facilities clean than soap)
- Conditioner (we have a good quantity of shampoo so none is requested at this time)
- Hand or body lotion
- Women’s hygiene products
- Disposable razors
- Shaving cream
- New underwear & socks
Request Your Hope Tote Kits
Email Denise Eaddy at DEaddy@TheCityMission.org or give her a call at (216) 431-3510 ext. 237 to schedule a time to pick up your Hope Tote bag(s) and a shopping list at our Main Campus on Carnegie Avenue. A kit consists of 25 bags, flyers, shopping lists and other promotional materials. These kits can be picked up at the 5310 Carnegie Ave. campus.Request a Hope Tote Kit

Employer or Employee-Initiated Collections
Thank you to those of you who asked your employer to select The City Mission as a charity for your company during the holidays or other times of the year.

The City Mission is always in need of baby items – especially diapers! Laura’s Home hosts about 90 a children a day, many of which are infants and toddlers.
We receive large contributions of diapers around Christmas, but the need continues throughout the year. Would you consider organizing a diaper drive event for Mother’s Day or as an annual event at your company or church?
• Disposable diapers of all sizes infant to toddler
• Baby wipes (especially without perfumes or dyes)
• Baby formula
• Baby lotion, shampoo, wash, oil and powder
• Strollers, car seats, and cribs
Getting the Items to The City Mission
Organize your drop off by getting in touch with the Laura’s Home donations coordinator, Abby Uveges, by emailing AUveges@TheCityMission.org. Attendants will help you unload your donation(s) and provide a material gift receipt for tax purposes.
5310 Carnegie Avenue (just west of the E. 55 and Carnegie intersection)
Monday – Friday from 9 am to 4 pm only.
No donation receiving on Saturday or Sunday.
Laura’s Home at 18120 Puritas Ave. (just west of Rocky River Drive)
Monday – Friday: 9 am – 5 pm.
Saturday: 9 am – 2 pm
No donation receiving on Sunday.
