Community Development Coordinator
As the Community Development Coordinator, Ashley is responsible for developing our New Horizons Program - working to cultivate relationships between local churches, businesses, and individuals in order to empower Laura's Home graduates to become homeowners. Ashley started as a caseworker role at The City Mission in 2017, and continues that work as she counsels women working through the New Horizons program.
Before joining The City Mission's team, Ashley earned her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Psychology from Cleveland State University. Her post-graduate roles included non-profit behavioral health, AmeriCorps Vista, and community corrections and re-entry. Currently, she is pursuing Master's in Urban Studies with intention to apply for Doctoral candidacy in Urban Studies from Cleveland State University.
Ashley is passionate about restoring individuals through sustainable life change, not just a "Band-Aid" approach. Her desire is to see healing and empowerment using evidence-based practices, while always being guided by the Bible. She looks forward to continuing to see neighborhoods and individuals transformed, as the Mission seeks to grow the powerfully transformative New Horizons program.
