Reverend Richard Trickel

Chief Executive Officer

Rev. Richard Trickel has served as the Chief Executive Officer of The City Mission since August, 2004. An experienced Bible teacher and conference speaker, Rich has extensive ministry experience in both foreign and domestic missions. In addition, he has trained numerous church planters, missionaries and Christian workers on making a positive change within their communities.

As the leader of one of Cleveland’s oldest and most vibrant non-profits, Rich offers a unique perspective on the needs in an urban community and understands the important role service organizations play in transforming lives. Rich holds a diploma in Bible and Missions, a BA in Communications and a MS in Adult Education.

Michael Parry

Chief Development Officer

Cleveland native Michael Parry joined the staff of The City Mission of Cleveland in 2010. A certified fund raising executive (CFRE) has 22 years of nonprofit fundraising experience with some of the most well-known national charities and smaller local ones.  His staff helps raise the Mission’s $5.4 million operating budget, all of which comes from private donations (no government funding). He also manages the planned giving program and builds awareness of The City Mission’s Endowment Foundation, a separate organization committed to providing operating support for The City Mission in perpetuity.  A graduate of the Baldwin Wallace College Conservatory of Music, Michael’s artistic pursuits include serving as a vocal soloist in area churches and past membership in the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus.


Linda Uveges

Laura's Home Women's Crisis Center Program Manager

Linda Uveges started at The City Mission as a volunteer in various areas of Laura’s Home in 2003.  She joined the staff in 2005, initially serving at Angeline Christian Home.  When the services of Angeline were merged into Laura’s Home Women's Crisis Center, Linda became a Security Assistant and subsequently assumed the position of Security Supervisor.  She became Assistant Manager in February 2011 and Manager in January 2012. Linda is pursuing a degree in Non-Profit Administration. 


Dale Matthias

Crossroads Men’s Crisis Center Program Manager

Dale’s journey at The City Mission began in 2001 when he joined the long-term program at Crossroads Men’s Crisis Center, seeking a positive change and new direction for his life.

Today, he works for The City Mission overseeing the very program that helped him nine years ago. He leads the staff and plans programming for hundreds of men, not only overseeing the providing meals and shelter, but truly ways to transform their lives. Crossroads features a short-term program which provides emergency shelter for men in crisis and a long-term program focused on self-sufficiency via holistic transformation.

Dale’s personal experiences help him relate to the men in the program, allowing him to have a credible voice as he works for The City Mission in its efforts to provide safety, security and stability to those in need.


Randy Brown

Pathways Family Outreach Services Program Manager

Randy Brown came to The City Mission to serve as the Bible Teacher for Crossroads Men's Crisis Center and Laura's Home Women's Crisis Center. In 2010, he become the Program Manager at Pathways Family Outreach Services to help the youth in the city and their parents or guardians who have a place to live have a better future.


Chaplain Brent Richards

Inmate Outreach Services Program Manager

As the Inmate Outreach Services Program Manager for 12 years, Brent oversees the life-changing ministry of sharing the gospel to men and women who are incarcerated in our local city and state correctional facilities. This mission is accomplished through a variety of outreach services including worship services, Bible studies, prayer and one-on-one fellowship with inmates.

Brent and his team of volunteers aim to transform the lives of inmates from the inside out by reminding them that God's love and forgiveness is available to all who will call on Him and they too, are offered a second chance.

As a Chaplain for more than 30 years, Brent has witnessed countless lives impacted and families restored through the power of jail and prison ministries.
