Jail and Prison Ministries

“Locked into bringing Christ’s freedom to those locked up.”

"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink,

I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me,

I was in prison and you came to visit me." Matthew 25:35-36 (NIV)

This is what the LORD says:"In the time of my favor I will answer you, and in the day of salvation I will help you;

I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people, to restore the land and to reassign its desolate inheritances, to say to the captives, 'Come out,' and to those in darkness, 'Be free!'

They will feed beside the roads and find pasture on every barren hill." Isaiah 49:8-9 (NIV)

Our Jail and Prison Ministry is focused on teaching those behind bars where true freedom lays. We distributed 3,600 Bibles and New Testaments to men, women and teenagers who are incarcerated in various Ohio institutions over this last year.

Our Jail Outreach provides:

  • County jail chapel services for those incarcerated
  • Follow-up visits from Chaplains with inmates for Christian counseling
  • Possible “alternative sentencing” links into our Crossroads Men’s Facility & Laura's Home
  • Communication with jail staff and probation officers

Our Prison Outreach offers:

  • Mailing and literature distribution to 270 plus inmates each month.
  • Personal discipleship correspondence with those incarcerated
  • City Mission Group Meeting visits twice a year with inmates on our list in Ohio’s prisons.
  • In-depth correspondence Bible studies
  • Family contacts, food baskets, and other needs
  • Possible Pre-release placement into our Crossroads Men’s Facility & Laura's Home
