Donation Receiving Locations and Hours of Operation
Attendants will help you unload your donation(s) and provide a material gift receipt for tax purposes.
The City Mission's Downtown Campus, 5310 Carnegie Avenue (just west of the E. 55 and Carnegie intersection)
Monday - Friday from 9 am to 4 pm only.
No donation receiving on Saturday or Sunday.
Laura's Home Women's Crisis Center, 18120 Puritas Avenue (just west of Rocky River Drive)
Monday - Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and Saturday from 9 am - 2 pm.
No donation receiving on Sunday.
Clothing, shoes or linen donations at Laura's Home: Accepted by appointment only . Please call (216) 472-5500 ext. 317 for a specifc day and time to make your delivery.
Items Needed
Please review the information below regarding items that are accepted, declined or referred. If you have any questions, please call the Donation Receiving Supervisor at (216) 431-3510 ext. 220.
Personal Care Items
Most needed item is deodorant. Have modest quantities of: soap, toothbrush and toothpaste, shampoo, disposable razors, shaving cream, and women's hygiene products. See also Infant Needs below.

Infant Needs
Diapers (especially size 4 and larger), baby wipes (unscented/hypoallergenic is best), formula, baby food, and strollers.
Formula: Similac Advance (Gold Shield), Isomil Sensitive Soy and Isomil (plain)

Bus Tickets and Store Gift Cards
Bus tickets and gift cards are always a blessing. We are is special need of gift cards to purchase shoes and boots for men, women and children who cannot be fit from the donations of new or gently used shoes and boots we receive.

Linens
Blankets, sheets (twin size), towels and washcloths, and pillows.

Clothing
Our space is extremely limited. Items should be clean, high quality, good condition and on hangers, if possible. Please only seasonal clothing such as winter apparel only in the fall and winter. Adult sizes especially needed are plus, XL, and XXL.
The only items needed at the present time:
- Business clothes (seasonal only)
- Women's plus size summer clothes and undergarments
- New socks, new t-shirts, and new underwear
- Sleepwear - High quality, good condition and all sizes needed for adults and children (does not need to be on hangers)

New Toys and Games
We hold our annual collection in November and December but do accept donations throughout the year.
Please see our New Toys and Games Collection page for more information. Items received before Dec. 10 will be distributed at special Christmas events. Those received later will be used for special events.
School Supplies

Employer or Employee-Initiated Collections
Thank you to those of you who asked your employer to select The City Mission as a charity for your company during the holidays or other times of the year. If you need documentation of our non-profit status or other information for your company, please email the Development Department or call (216) 431-3510 x237.
Items that We Decline and/or Refer:
We are grateful for the generosity of so many in our community. However due to the needs of the population we serve and our limited warehousing space, we are unable to accept certain items. Decline/Refer Items and Instructions
Items we decline but can refer to other organizations:
- Furniture
- Household items
- Electronics
- Appliances
- Wheelchairs, walkers, etc.
- Computer equipment
- Books, tapes, music, movies, etc.
Items we decline:
- Used toys and games (including recreational equipment)
- Used strollers, car seats, and high chairs
- Exercise equipment
- Pictures, artwork, and decorating items.
