Crossroads Men's Crisis Center

Serving as a bridge to the local church and community by providing safety, security and stability

“But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again;

he was lost and is found.” Luke 15:32 (NIV)

The men at Crossroads Men's Crisis Center are facing more than what we generally think of as being 'homeless.'' We define 'crisis' as a traumatic or stressful change in a person's life. Men at Crossroads may have lost family or other relationships, income or a home, are facing the results of an illness or an addiction, transitioning back into society after being released from prison, or other situations.

Last year Crossroads provided 74,885 meals and provided 35,412 nights of shelter to 1,092 men in crisis. We helped 174 men as they worked through our 6-month long-term program.

On June 20, 2009, 39 men were graduated from the long-term program. Read the article about our graduation.

OVERFLOW STATUS - What does it mean?

Cleveland winters can be especially hard. "Overflow" goes into effect when weather is deemed

potentially life-threatening (<20°F + wind chill).  During this time at Crossroads and Laura's Home,

no one is turned away, 24-hr walk-in registration, short-term clients remain inside all day and

"Overflow" status remains in effect until further notice.

Short-term Program provides:

  • Short-term emergency shelter
  • Nutritious meals and personal hygiene items
  • Access to community health care services
  • Daily chapel service provided by community volunteers
  • Spiritual guidance

Long-term Program provides:

  • Long-term shelter
  • Local church involvement
  • Outcomes based case management
  • On-site work activities and job readiness programs
  • Adult continuing education
  • Life skills workshops
  • Community awareness activities
